Role: Systems Verification Engineer - Aerospace
Location: Cheltenham (4 days on-site, 1 remote)
Duration: 12 months initially
Rate: Negotiable
Key Activities
o Develop and implement verification plans based on ARP4754 guidelines, ensuring comprehensive coverage of system requirements.
o Utilize expertise in communication protocols (RS485, CAN, ARINC-429, Ethernet) to design and execute test procedures for system integration and validation.
o Demonstrate proficiency in high-voltage environments, applying electrical engineering principles to ensure the safety and reliability of systems.
o Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team, promoting the adoption of agile and scrum methodologies for project execution.
o Utilize test equipment effectively to perform verification activities, including but not limited to oscilloscopes, signal generators, and protocol analysers.
o Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, hardware engineers, and project managers, to drive successful project outcomes.
o Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional growth and development. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Essential Responsibilities
o Perform Verification activities based on systems verification plan Requirements Traceability
o Write Test Procedures and test scripts Ensure that all artefacts are reviewed, approved, and stored in accordance with project planning documents
Qualifications / Requirements
o Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
o Advanced degree preferred.
o Experience in aerospace systems verification, with a proven track record of leading teams through complex projects.
o Deep understanding of ARP4754 guidelines and other relevant aerospace regulations.
o Experience working in high-voltage environments, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and adapt to changing project requirements.
Desired Characteristics
o Proficiency in communication protocols such as RS485, CAN, ARINC-429, 1394, and Ethernet.
o Knowledge of agile and scrum methodologies, with experience leading teams in agile environments.
o Minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace systems verification and experience in safety critical product
