Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust provides the Podiatry Service across North Yorkshire and York area, covering approximately 3000 square miles and provided from over 70 clinical locations. The service is managed in 4 Locality based teams.
The role will be supported by Podiatry team lead and Podiatry Professional Leads. We welcome applications from HCPC registered Podiatrists who are looking for a band 6 post into a service with a good reputation for quality provision to our patients and good support for staff and career development.
Main duties of the job
This post will be based at White Cross Court, York, a purpose-built Podiatry facility, but the post holder may be expected to work at other locations; therefore, a car driver or ability to travel is essential.
Good diagnostic and clinical skills are essential, along with good organisational and time management skills. You should have the ability to work on your own as well as part of a team.
Upon employment, you will commence our Mentorship program, giving you the support, mentorship, and supervision from a senior Podiatrist to develop your skills and become integrated within the team and the allied professions we work alongside.
The department can offer a variety of flexible working arrangements to meet both clinical and personal needs.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To be part of a highly motivated team having at least two years NHS post-registration experience and/or having completed a competency-based programme.
To work autonomously or as part of a team, liaising with appropriate members of the Podiatry teams, Primary Health Care teams, and Secondary Health Care teams, particularly in relation to service delivery and patient care.
To be responsible for the day-to-day running of own podiatry clinics in both primary and secondary care settings, hospitals, health centres, GP surgeries, residential and nursing care homes, patient's own homes, and day centres.

Experience
* Two years rounded professional experience, including treatment of the 'at risk' foot, and knowledge and skills in the MSK/Biomechanical field.
* Experience in mentoring and facilitating Podiatry students.
