Overview
The Credit Administrator enables and assists the department through the timely and accurate collection, preparation and administration of credit-related documentation and reports and interaction with internal and external customers. The role will work closely with internal credit team members, Commercial Sales and Customer Service teams as necessary to collect necessary data for credit limit decisioning. A strong customer service mindset is required for success. This role will work with key customers and cross-functional teams while adhering to established company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
1. Process requests for new customers credit limits based on recommendation per credit check; D&B, Experian, financial statement analysis and other credit tools.
2. Meet established SLA’s and KPI’s for credit risk evaluation processes and new customer set-up.
3. Assist sales and customer service teams as related to credit lines, credit terms and approval process.
4. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with customers.
5. Develop awareness of the customer’s business and financial standing in the marketplace to support the credit review process.
6. Assist with necessary customer communications.
7. Ability to organize and interpret data as well as communicating analytic results/recommendations.
8. Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously to completion with sound business judgment.
9. Assist in internal and external SOX audit support as needed.
10. Validate completion of customer credit applications and validate information provided.
11. Assist Credit Analyst and Credit Managers with account administration.
12. Prepare accounts for collection agency placement.
13. Administer high-risk indicators in AS400 system.
14. Prepare bankruptcy proofs of claim and assist Credit Analyst and Credit Managers with bankruptcy administration.
15. Review, distribute, and prioritize incoming mail and faxes.
16. Answer all credit reference inquiries.
17. Act as initial contact point between field personnel and Credit Risk team for inquiries related to customer credit approval status.
18. Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
1. Associate Degree in business-related field preferred.
2. Minimum of two years relevant, applicable and transferable experience in a corporate and/or Shared Services environment or equivalent.
3. Significant attention to detail.
4. Strong analytical capabilities and problem solving skills.
5. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
6. Excellent communicator, written and verbal.
7. Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
8. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
9. Exposure to AS400 accounts receivable systems or large ERP.
10. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Pay Range
CAD $22.00 - CAD $25.00 /Hr.
