On behalf of our manufacturing client based near Antrim, Energis is currently recruiting for a Production Scheduler to ensure the smooth flow of work and effective utilisation of materials, labour and machines throughout the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities:
* Preparation of schedules to ensure effective and efficient use of materials, machines and manpower (including temporary workers).
* Work closely with relevant departments to ensure KPI’s are met
* Liaise with customers and hauliers when required to ensure delivery on time targets are met.
* Accurate generation of new product codes.
* Preparation of loading summaries, delivery notes, dealing with any problems that arise
* Manage relevant scheduling enquiries.
* Management of relevant production data
Criteria:
* Minimum 1 year recent, relevant experience as a production scheduler or similar
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages and in particular, Excel.
* Ability to make timely decisions and work to strict deadline.
* Excellent planning, organising and prioritising skills.
* Strong customer focused.
* Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Desirable
* Relevant third level qualification
* Experience of continuous improvement projects (Eg. Six Sigma methodologies, Lean Manufacturing).
Salary on offer is in the region of £28 – 35k depending upon experience. Benefits include an excellent bonus scheme, healthcare and pension.
