Purpose of the role & how you will contribute:
Farmers and growers are at the heart of adapting to and mitigating the impacts of climate change, through effective policy development and implementation. Your role involves coordinating and reporting on UK farming's climate change performance, ensuring members and staff are well-informed on policy and legislative developments. You have a degree, or equivalent, in Climate Science, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field. Your willingness to deepen your understanding of climate change science, impacts, and policy development, coupled with a passion for agriculture, food and farming, will be invaluable. You have core sustainability and climate knowledge including GHG reporting, climate policy and science, and a proven ability to research, analyse, and synthesise statistical information. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills enable you to present complex information clearly and build collaborative relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders.
