Finance Business Partner

Venture Recruitment Partners are delighted to partner with an international business in the recruitment of a qualified and enthusiastic Finance Business Partner to support the central finance team in a brand-new role.
As Finance Business Partner, you will provide comprehensive financial support, working with decision makers and budget holders to ensure that the business area has robust financial information to support appropriate business action.
This role will offer opportunities to promote and progress within the wider business and would suit an ambitious and driven candidate either making a move from practice into commerce or with strong commercial analytical / business partnering experience.
Key responsibilities:
1. Take overall ownership of relevant P&L and Balance sheet accounts for a number of cost centres.
2. Supply of agreed monthly reports with interpretation and insightful narratives.
3. Provision of additional reporting and information for the business area to support decision making and achieving business objectives.
4. Use own initiative to provide ad hoc analysis and insight on performance that could inform decision making by the budget holder.
5. Conduct relevant financial/scenario modelling to aid decision making or influence further financial transactions.
6. Complete monthly forecasting activities including up-to-date risks and opportunities schedules, including challenging the likelihood and timing assumptions of spend.
7. Undertake the collection, collation and challenge of financial and other planning information with supporting risks and opportunities to inform the annual financial planning process encompassing short- and long-term plans for the business area.
8. Assist business owners with the appropriate presentation of their positions to senior management.
About you:
We're seeking an energetic and fully qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with good communication and stakeholder management skills alongside strong analytical ability with attention to detail. Candidates should be comfortable presenting plans to support business decisions to both finance and non-finance stakeholders at a senior level and can explain financial concepts to non-finance people. Experience of working for a complex multi-entity or global businesses is preferable although this role would equally suit someone moving from professional practice into commerce; strong Excel skills a must have.
