We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Children’s Home Manager to oversee a 4-bed residential service for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties in Workington (CA14). Your responsibilities will include: Leading and managing a team of dedicated care staff to ensure a high standard of care is provided Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations, the Children’s Act, and Children’s Care Standards Developing, implementing, and reviewing individual care plans for each young person Overseeing day-to-day operations, including managing rotas, staff performance, and financial aspects of the home Building strong, supportive relationships with young people to encourage their emotional, social, and educational development Implementing and maintaining the home’s policies and procedures, ensuring best practices are followed Working closely with social workers, education professionals, and families to ensure positive outcomes for the young people in your care What we’re looking for: Experience as a Registered Manager in a children’s residential care setting, preferably in an EBD environment Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) A solid understanding of the needs and challenges faced by young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, manage, and develop a team effectively A commitment to delivering high-quality care and achieving positive outcomes for young people Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal A full UK driving licence (preferable but not essential) Join us and make a difference: If you are a compassionate, dedicated professional with a passion for improving the lives of vulnerable young people, we would love to hear from you.
