An opportunity has presented itself for a Technical Labourer to join our Facilities Department on a permanent basis.
The Technical Labourer is responsible for the maintenance of the site, grounds, and facilities, installation and removal of basic support services, and inspection, installation, and remedial works on site, such as plumbing, woodwork, and displays. You must have experience working within an industrial environment as well as safe use of basic hand and power tools.
Knowledge and Key Skills
To be successful in this role, you should have a:
* Foundation in Electrics EAL Level 3 in service inspection and testing of electrical equipment (PAT).
* Basic working knowledge of carpentry, decorating, plumbing, bench fitting, electrical, and building works.
* General knowledge of building materials and best practices.
And be able to deliver and ensure:
* Maintenance of site grounds and facilities.
* PAT Testing.
* Installation and removal of basic support services.
* Maintenance of site corridors and wall furniture.
* Inspection, installation, and remedial works on basic site plumbing, woodwork, and displays.
* Regular basic inspection of site vehicles.
* Maintain records for the MMS (Maintenance Management System).
* Carry out duties with due regard to safety, current legislation, environment, company, and statutory requirements.
* Assist in the procurement of spare parts and maintain essential stock levels.
* Assist in the specification of items of equipment.
