KYC Analyst / Senior Analyst (m/f/d)
Location: Australia (Oceania) – can be based in Australia or New Zealand
Relevant experience: 4 to 7 years (Analyst) & 7-10 years (Sr Analyst) in KYC

Job Summary:
As a KYC analyst, you will be responsible for verification of client data, performing due diligence checks on clients, reviewing KYC documentation, performing the risk assessment of clients, liaising with the business/compliance, advising on KYC requirements to meet the regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience (AML/KYC/compliance related) within the corporate financial services industry.
2. Conduct end-to-end KYC due diligence for global clients, including Retail and Institutional customers, individuals, Trusts, Societies, and Charities.
3. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws and Know Your Customer (KYC) guidelines.
4. Ability to understand the firm's KYC requirements when completing documentation inclusive of Customer Identification Program (CIP), Minimum Due Diligence (MDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD).
5. Collection and verification of confidential client data via publicly available and internal sources.
6. Understanding the missing requirements and communicating to clients via email or phone call.
7. Understanding and implementation of KYC standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
8. Be flexible to work on other migration/remediation projects including Screening resolution.
9. Provide training to staff members on KYC procedures and best practices.
10. Maintaining the confidentiality of customer information and circumstances in line with privacy legislation and internal policy.
11. Collect information from frontline staff and customers.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist - CAMS) will be an advantage.
2. Knowledge of financial regulations, including AML, KYC, and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA Patriot Act, OFAC regulations, FinCEN, etc.
3. Ability to understand complex legal entity structures, transactions, and counterparties involved.
4. Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
5. Attention to detail and the ability to spot anomalies and trends in financial transactions.
6. Ability to work independently and take quick decisions when necessary; strong problem-solving skills/solution-oriented.
