Job Description
* Managing a Transport operation with roughly 450 assets and a sizeable workforce.
* Lead planning and operations across a large national retail operation.
* Take responsibility for operational best practice including compliance, health and safety, and driver performance.
* Responsible for an annual budget of roughly £45m per year.
* Manage customer commercial relations for an Open Book large national contract.
* Driving best practice and supporting the development of a CI culture.
* To help develop future leaders within the business.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Transport General Manager should have:
* A logistics and distribution background.
* A National or International CPC qualification.
* Demonstrable experience of managing 3pl operations, preferably in an open book and/or retail environment.
* Experience of budget management and P&L responsibility of over £35 million.
* Demonstrable experience of CI/LEAN culture development is an advantage.
