Fixed Term 1 Year
We are looking to recruit to a Band 5 Community Staff Nurse into the Mull and Iona Community Nursing Team. You will be expected to work closely and flexibly within the community nursing team providing nursing care to patients in their own homes across both Islands.
As people’s needs increase, there is an increasing demand to care for people at home, so this is a great opportunity for nurses wishing to gain experience in the community setting.
You will be working alongside a very supportive and experienced team of nurses and will receive a period of supervised induction along with support to develop your skills as required.
Knowledge of tissue viability, palliative care, and an understanding of the contributions of the multi-disciplinary team would be advantageous, but training can be given.
Consideration will be given to a flexible working pattern. Short term accommodation support can be considered.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro-rata for part-time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37-hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
