Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic, creative & motivated Design Engineer to join our team in Coventry. You will have a proven track record in engineering design, ideally with experience in motorsport, defence, automotive or aerospace sectors.
Are you an experienced design engineer with at least five years’ experience and a sharp understanding of development process, design for manufacture, production process and project management? As a proficient CAD engineer, you will be required to produce engineering drawings, BOMs and build procedures for production in a timely manner with accuracy and attention to detail. You will be involved in the product development process from concept, through prototyping, test and validation to manufacturing.
The role will entail supporting production and current product within the business, supplying our blue-chip client base, who demand the very best.
Main Job Responsibilities:
* Management and updating of existing drawings and designs.
* Produce detailed engineering drawings to the in-house requirements.
* Produce detailed build procedures through reviews of the design and discussion with manufacturing.
* BOM development, produce Data sheets and other quality documentation.
* Design issue analysis and resolution.
* Develop workflow strategies.
* Implement best practise.
* Resolve problems and determine root causes.
* Manage new product introductions to manufacturing.
* Coordinate service and maintenance schedules on machinery and equipment.
* Define and manage safety protocols.
* Produce technical bulletins.
* Support homologation processes.
* Report on test and product issues.
* Look for efficiencies in the production of goods.
Job Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience in product development and manufacturing.
* Strong communicator with all levels of the organisation.
* Problem solving.
* 5 or more years of relevant engineering design experience.
* Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor CAD or similar.
* Experience of manufacturing procedure writing.
* Experience in Progress Plus or similar software.

* £27,000 - £30,000 DOE and performance-based incentives.
