Isambard Kingdom Brunel Primary School currently have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated practitioner to join the team as a Classroom Teaching Assistant and Breakfast Club Assistant (maternity cover), supporting teaching staff with responsibility for the development and educational provision of learners.
Hours of Work: 29.25 hrs per week. Maternity Cover until 31 October 2025.
Monday 7.45am – 3.30pm (1 hour unpaid lunchbreak)
Tuesday – 7.45am – 1pm
Thursday – 7.45am – 3.30pm (1 hour unpaid lunchbreak)
Friday – 7.45am – 1pm

To provide support for learning activities for children on an individual or group basis, under the general direction of the line manager. To support and complement the work of the classroom teacher by supporting class work, the environment and personal care.
To ensure Breakfast Club offers a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for children to start their school day.
Job Requirements
* A minimum of 3 GCSEs at C grade or above, including English and Maths
* Experience of class supervision and assisting with lesson provision to achieve positive learning outcomes - desirable
* Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in tandem with teaching staff
* Ability to be empathetic and understanding to the needs of students
