The post holder will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our NHS Fleet Solutions systems primarily focused around NHS Fleet Solutions. You will be responsible for understanding user journeys and functional requirements, developing and implementing test plans and test cases, and contributing to the overall success of our projects.
Your role will involve collaboration with Business Analysts, Test Engineers, and Developers to maintain high-quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with Business Analysts to comprehend user journeys and functional requirements, ensuring a thorough understanding of all NHS Fleet Solutions systems.
2. Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases, ensuring coverage of all relevant scenarios.
3. Execute tests on various platforms and devices to validate the functionality of healthcare applications.
4. Create and maintain regression test packs to ensure that new updates do not adversely impact existing functionalities.
5. Support the test team in delivering QA responsibilities, fostering a collaborative environment for efficient testing processes.
6. Collaborate with developers to find solutions to challenges and actively contribute to the overall success of the projects.
7. Report progress and issues to the Test Manager, providing clear and concise updates on testing status.
8. Demonstrate the ability to detect and resolve issues promptly to ensure the reliability and functionality of all systems.
9. Stay updated with the latest testing techniques and software, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
10. Willingly acquire new skills that contribute to the enhancement of the QA team's capabilities.

Minimum Requirements:
1. Degree level or equivalent plus additional specialist knowledge acquired through postgraduate diploma level or equivalent relevant experience.
2. Good level of knowledge around all aspects of QA testing and an understanding of the wider software development lifecycle, underpinned by theory and professional experience.
3. Previous experience in a QA role.
4. Understanding of user journeys and functional requirements provided by Business Analysts.
5. Ability to develop and implement test plans and test cases.
6. Experience of creating and maintaining regression test packs.
7. Willingness to learn how to run automated tests.
8. Identify test cases suitable for automation and collaborate with Test Engineers.
9. Test execution on various platforms and devices.
10. Reporting progress and issues to the Test Manager.
11. Detection and resolution of issues.
12. Ability to challenge requirements and collaborate with developers to find solutions.
