This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in September 2025. We have a dedicated photography studio with darkroom facilities and access to digital cameras and editing software. About the Role: Teach Art and Design across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on photography. Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities. Guide and support students in developing their photography skills, including composition, lighting, and editing techniques. Encourage students to explore different photographic genres and styles, fostering their creativity and artistic expression. Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys. Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our Art and Design curriculum remains relevant and challenging. Foster a love of Art and photography in students, encouraging them to explore different art forms and develop their own artistic voice. Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in Art and photography education. Ideal Candidate: Holds QTS or equivalent. Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Art and Design, with a specialism in photography. Demonstrates a passion for teaching Art and photography and a commitment to student success. Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills. Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Has a good understanding of the National Curriculum for Art and Design. Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
