When we talk about ‘retrofit’ we’re including heat demand reduction through insulation and efficient ventilation, clean heating such as heat pumps, as well as solar PV and batteries. In future we expect to expand services to support lower income households and non domestic buildings. We focus on serving communities across the Glasgow City Region.
Depending on the skills and experience of the leading candidate, this role may also take responsibility for the company’s risk management processes.
In addition they will extend our network of reliable contractors.
To stay in touch with the service and customers, you will be surveying and reporting for some customers.
Build a network of vetted fabric and renewables contractors available to our householder customers, working with the support of the Supply Chain Manager.
Take responsibility for potential professional and health & safety risks (public and employee) associated with the advice service. Risk management
Maintain a rolling evaluation of all the company’s risks, coordinating input from across the team.
Be the Company’s appointed ‘Competent Person’ for Health & Safety, accountable for risk assessments, safe work methods and training. Coordinate the internal programme of training and CPD.
Support delivery of innovation and consultancy projects.
Depending on the skills of the leading candidate, take responsibility for the reliable operation of one or more internal business processes or IT systems.
At least three years experience of successfully applying advanced fabric and ventilation understanding to domestic retrofit projects, such as in the role of Retrofit Coordinator. This should include expertise in recognising and mitigating moisture risks in traditional (solid wall) buildings.
Strong appreciation of installation verification and post occupancy evaluation.
Worked with funding programmes such as Home Energy Scotland, Area Based Schemes, ECO.
Comfortable with taking appropriate risks with incomplete information.
Good at explaining complex topics in simple language. Can write in clear, plain english.
Confident with Google Sheets or Excel
Line management experience
Driving licence
Awareness of installer training and accreditation routes, Trustmark, PAS2030.
Comfortable with managing IT platforms such as CRM, website, collaboration tools.
You should be based within a commutable distance of our office in central Glasgow.
There will be a mixture of office working, home surveys and flexibility to work from home.
We serve households and communities across Glasgow City Region.
This role has some limited involvement with community engagement events in evenings and at weekends.
