Our client is now recruiting for an exciting and challenging position as Area Security Officer, primarily supporting the Security Team based in Birmingham. As an Area Security Officer, you will be more than a Security Officer, you will be a key part of our team covering a range of sites within the Birmingham area. You will ensure the safety of our customers staff, their buildings, and assets, whilst providing excellent customer service. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service in a safe and secure environment. When covering your core site in Birmingham, your main duties will include visitor and access badge management in the reception area and the client's demise. You will be expected to meet and greet staff and visitors and be the first point of contact for any incidents or issues. You will also be expected to liaise closely with the control room team based in Cambridge and assist with investigating faults and doors. The role requires you to conduct regular Health and Safety patrols across the demise and report and escalate anything you discover. Throughout the shift, you will manage accurately the reporting of incidents and faults and escalate appropriately and be expected to manage emails and any other admin duties. The position is 0 hours only and you will need to be able to work any shift Monday to Friday, for day shifts only. The rate of pay is £12.25 per hour. Your Time at Work As a Security Officer, you will: - Always provide a professional security provision - Provide excellent customer service and meet and greet staff and visitors at reception - Review and manage all visitors and guests who attend the site and ensure their experience is always a pleasure - Conduct comprehensive patrols and be a visible presence around the site - Have the ability to deal with situations and incidents in a calm, confident, and professional manner - Ensure you are aware of current AI.s, SOP's, and H&S documentation in line with Client and AUS - Confidently escalate and relay any emergencies and Incidents to the line manager. - Competent at completing accurate reports of any incidents/incidents in line with SOP - Form strong relationships with the onsite facilities team - Various Admin tasks at the direction of the site supervisor - Conduct site patrols and report any H&S issues found to the GSOC.
