As Manager Cabin Projects, you will work cross-functionally across the airline with external suppliers, OEMs, and MROs to assist in the design and delivery of Engineering led cabin projects from inception to entry into service.
Responsibilities
1. Technical specifications, including LOPAs (layout), product design, certification and manufacturing oversight, management of budgets and technical resource.
2. Support airline requirements related to Cabin Interiors including cabin definition and BFE (buyer furnished equipment) management for line fit and retrofit programmes, through to entry into service and supporting returns activity for aircraft leaving the fleet.
3. Owning and delivering projects relating to new cabin products or major component upgrade programmes.
4. Meeting all regulatory requirements during your day to day activities.
About You
Are you an experienced Aircraft Engineer with exceptional project and people management skills? If yes, and you meet or exceed the below criteria, wed love to hear from you.
* Proven experience of managing a cross-functional team from within an aerospace engineering environment, preferably an airline.
* Knowledge of current CAA, EASA & FAA legislative requirements and guidance material in respect of cabin interiors.
* An excellent understanding of the cabin supply base, and their strengths and weaknesses.
* Must be thorough, detailed, and analytical, with enthusiasm to develop and manage a professional team.
* Professional qualifications in aircraft engineering, typically a degree in a relevant Engineering subject and/or suitable documented industry experience.
* History of operating in technical roles at a range of levels.
* Experience with cost and commercial awareness in relation to decisions within the function.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to operate at a senior level and effective peer to peer relationships and influencing skills both internally and externally.
* Experience of working in a collaborative management team.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
