Job overview
A vacancy has arisen for a Speciality Dentist within the Network. The post will be based at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital (Manchester University Hospitals Foundation Trust). The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry and will undertake all aspects of paediatric dental care, including the assessment of children for extractions under general anaesthesia, the treatment of all children under 16-years of age requiring specialist paediatric dental care, and provision of treatment plans and supervision for the dental therapist.

Qualifications
* BDS or equivalent
* FDS, MFDS or equivalent
* Papers published relevant to the specialty
* Research
Experience
* Evidence of general professional training
* Shows knowledge of evidence based dentistry
* Experience in more than 1 speciality and/or Cleft Lip and Palate
* General Practice/community dental experience
Skills and Abilities
* Management of specialist patients in a Paediatric Dentistry Unit
* Good communication skills
* Interpersonal skills

* Computer literate
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Competent in dentoalveolar and soft tissue surgery
Knowledge
