Responsibilities / key tasks Areas of responsibility: Result area: Service /Validation Management of instrument calibration/service/repair for service/validation/workshop – complete process including raising POs (UK only). Management of instrument calibration certificate database (UK only). Management of instrument database in SharePoint (UK only). Instrument purchase/replacement/repair (UK only). Service parts purchase/distribution – e.g. gas fittings, tubing, clips etc (UK only). Shipping of instruments/dataloggers UK and EU. Direct Purchasing – with company credit card. Scheduling/call raising of Service activity in absence of Customer Service Coordinator. Assistance with managing of service contracts. Development and updates for UK engineer service reports. Creation of calibration certificates for service jobs where customer requests unit cal cert. Production of RAMS for service. Technical Support Answer/collate technical enquiries – internal service/sales & external. Spare parts identification. Ordering third party supplier parts. Ordering engineer consumables. Technical assistance with tenders. Social interaction: Works closely with customers, supervisor, and the planner. Regular contact with employees from the Service, Warehouse, Administrative and Sales departments. Job requirements: National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and Refrigeration Technology. Software knowledge in respect of measuring equipment.
