Alderley Park Recruitments notable client in the Logistics industry is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator responsible for the delivery and organisation of operations. This role is permanent, based in Alderley Edge and is paying a salary of £30,000 - £35,000 DOE.
The Client

They handle everything from single asset transfers to full laboratory relocations, treating each project with the precision and care it demands. Unlike standard logistics providers, their expertise extends beyond simple transportation—they ensure a true ‘bench-to-bench’ service, meticulously managing the transfer of lab contents while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Whether relocating an entire research facility or a single critical instrument, our client delivers expertise, reliability, and peace of mind.
Key Responsibilities:

Proactive scheduling & execution of global shipments from origin to destination.

Manage import and export documentation, including CI document, CMR, GMR, bills of lading, and other shipping documents.
*
Negotiate freight rates and contracts with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics providers.
*
Communicate with the client if documents are required to facilitate customs clearance.
*
Monitor & proactively communicate status updates to the client around shipment progress as well as highlight delays to rectify in a timely fashion.
*
Schedule jobs & assign crew to projects and vehicles as required, ensuring safe working practices.
*
Issue crew-sheets & check signatures for “proof of delivery” to provide to the client.
*
Upload information to the web-based CRM system.
*
Provide updates to the Sales Teams for scheduling and completion of projects.
*
Provide support to the project manager on an ad hoc basis.
