Govanhill Housing Association provides a comprehensive range of services focused on the needs of tenants and owner occupiers in the Govanhill and Merrylee communities. We carry out acquisition and improvement of tenemental stock as well as delivering a new build programme.
We work closely with our subsidiary company, Govanhill Community Development Trust, whose community development and regeneration services complement our own role as a social landlord.
Job Role
We wish to recruit to a new role within the Association in which the post holder will manage and develop our work with our supported projects and HMO properties. The role will cover all areas of health and safety including maintenance, tenancy matters, and other legal and good practice requirements.
Responsibilities
1. Ensure that all Health and Safety and tenancy requirements are met for each project.
2. Review all leases and consult with support providers and partners such as Glasgow City Council.
3. Seek legal advice as required.
4. Develop detailed knowledge of the requirements for each project.
5. Deliver training on processes and good practice to staff in other departments.
Qualifications
Applicants need to have considerable knowledge and experience in dealing with supported projects, preferably in a landlord role, and also be experienced in health and safety within an RSL setting. The ability to speak a community language is also desirable.
