Sutherland Lodge Surgery is looking for a friendly, kind receptionist/administrator who enjoys a patient-facing role on a busy reception. You will be working with a great team of full-time and part-time receptionist/administrators and a welcoming wider team. Flexibility about working hours is important, as we have some late nights until 8 PM and occasional Saturday shifts. There are opportunities for training and development, and time spent away from reception includes working the triage system, processing prescription requests, scanning and coding documents, and other administrative tasks.
Package Description: You will feel valued as a Receptionist/Administrator within HCRG Care Group, receiving access to exclusive rewards and benefits including:
1. Salary of £11.44 per hour and access to our group pension.
2. Membership of my Reward Hub, providing discounts on everyday purchases and cashback offers.
3. Access to your wages as you earn them to help cover life’s emergencies.
4. Online and face-to-face help with mental and physical wellbeing.
5. Access to eLearning, bespoke career pathways, and continuing professional development.
6. An open, just culture encouraging ideas that help deliver our purpose.
7. The pride of working for an organisation committed to high clinical and quality standards.
8. Free tea, coffee, and milk at your base location.
Main Responsibilities:
Welcome patients both face to face and on the phone. Gain an understanding of where and how to signpost patients to the most appropriate person in the surgery. Contribute to the smooth running of the administrative process by undertaking admin roles, calling patients to encourage booking for health prevention appointments, and covering reception from 08:00 - 20:00 on a rota basis. Meeting telephone answering targets so our patients aren't kept waiting.
The Ideal Candidate:
You will preferably have proven experience in a reception and administration role, outstanding customer service skills, and the ability to demonstrate professional behaviours. You should be confident using IT systems, with a working knowledge of email, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
