Apply Now Apply Now Candidate required: Site Manager - Civils Start date: ASAP Industry: Construction professionals Southampton Location: Bournemouth Salary & package dependant on experience: Up to £65,000 Package The role & about the client: My client are a reliable and reputable firm, specialising in roads, adoptable drainage and groundworks to the UK’s leading national and regional housing developers. They are looking to onboard a civil site manager for a large scheme being delivered in the Portsmouth area. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong ability to oversee all aspects of residential groundworks including foundations, roads and adoptable drainage, domestic drainage, sub-structure block/brickwork, structural floors and external works. Projects also cover 278 packages and various aspects of civil engineering including pump stations, attenuation/balancing ponds, reinforced concrete structures and large diameter infrastructure pipework. Key Responsibilities • Oversee, organise, and direct on-site construction activities from inception to completion. • Coordinate and supervise a diverse team of subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour. • Uphold compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times. • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensure milestones are met, and adjust plans as necessary. • Monitor project costs and budget, implementing cost-saving measures as required. • Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and effective collaboration. • Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to identify and address any issues or delays. • Prepare and submit project reports and documentation as required The ideal candidate Essential Qualifications/ experience required/ specific requirements for the role Site manager requirements: • Right to work in the UK. • CSCS card - Gold/ Black. • NVQ level 3 or above. • SMSTS. • First aid. • Previous experience working within the water, energy or civils sector. • Full UK driving licence. • Proficient with IT.
