Control Systems Engineer – East Midlands – Hybrid (Typically 3 x home days/2 x office days per week) - £35-50K + either TOIL or Overtime + bonus
Samuel Frank is recruiting for a Control Systems Engineer to work for an East Midlands based systems integrator on a staff basis.
The successful Control Systems Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of control system integration on 3rd party client sites.
Key aspects of the Control Systems Engineer role include;
* Create Functional Design Specifications
* Able to write well-structured and robust PLC code using any of the major PLCs (Allen Bradley / Rockwell, Schneider, Mitsubishi)
* Create test documentation
* FAT to include testing within an MCC on the shopfloor
* Commission PLC software on customer sites
* SCADA / HMI design experience will be useful – not essential
* Successful Control Systems Engineer could have worked across a range of industries including chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, water treatment or pharmaceuticals
* Controls Manager estimates a 70/30 split of being based in the office or at home (70%) and then 30% on customer sites. Due to their location, site visits will typically be there and back on the same day. They’ll be no requirement for extended periods away from home.
* Hybrid working – the successful Control Systems Engineer will be expected in the office twice a week
* UK Driving Licence – essential
* Need to be able to work in the UK without sponsorship
The office is commutable from most parts of the East Midlands and Nottinghamshire including places such as Nottingham, Leicester, Grantham, Mansfield, Newark, Derby and Loughborough
