The Role: Maintenance Supervisor Location: Staines Salary: £45k-£55k The Company Our client is an innovator in the environmental sector who are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join their team. This is a pivotal role, co-ordinating a small maintenance team for this facility ensuring the site maintenance function provides a pro-active and reactive, multi-skilled maintenance service. The Role of a Maintenance Supervisor Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will co-ordinate a small team of maintenance fitters responsible for the planned and re-active mechanical maintenance of the Recycling Processing Plant. As Maintenance Supervisor you will ideally be a multiskilled electrically biased maintenance engineer from a similar industrial/bulk handling background. You will coordinate the planning and scheduling of preventative maintenance overseeing the adherence and timely completion of work carried out. As our Maintenance Supervisor you will ensure that any mechanical problems are rectified as a priority, limiting down time of the production facility. As our Maintenance Supervisor you will create a strong team work ethic and will mentor and motivate others. The Successful Maintenance Supervisor The successful candidate will have a relevant mechanical maintenance background, e ducated to minimum of HND in an engineering discipline and/or time served apprentice with a proven history of self-development post qualifying. The successful Maintenance Supervisor will have experience working in manufacturing, waste management or with heavy plant machinery. Experience working with High and Low voltage machinery and circuits essential, knowledge of PLC fault finding highly desirable. Excellent people skills with an ability to engage the team to prioritise and distribute work accordingly. A history of job planning within HSE parameters. A positive team player with an understanding that their responsibilities will vary to help the team. You may be at a team leader or supervisor level looking for the next progressive step in your career. Ideally already trained to IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent. Previous experience of carrying out risk assessments in the workplace and documenting safe working procedures. A proven history of fault finding and implementation of corrective actions.
