Position: Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Contract Type: Agency, Full time / Part time
Salary: £83.85 - £100 per day
Start Date: March / April 2025
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive primary school in Sheffield. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the class teacher, providing support to children across various age groups in the school, with a focus on supporting individual needs and fostering an inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the delivery of high-quality education to pupils in accordance with the curriculum
2. Provide one-to-one support for students who require additional help, both academically and socially
3. Assist in planning and preparing learning resources, ensuring they are tailored to the needs of the students
4. Support children with special educational needs (SEN), adapting resources and tasks as required
5. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher
6. Support students during playtime, lunchtime, and other school activities
7. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel valued
Minimum Requirements:
1. Experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within a school environment
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
3. Ability to work as part of a team and under the guidance of the class teacher
4. A caring and patient attitude towards children
5. Knowledge and understanding of child development, safeguarding, and inclusion practices
6. Experience working with children with SEN or additional learning needs
7. First Aid qualification (or willingness to undertake training)
8. A passion for making a difference in children’s lives
