Description
The role:
You will be responsible for a range of tasks, which will include:
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
* Managing accounts payable and receivable
* Producing timely financial reports
* Streamlining accounting processes
* Contributing to enhanced service delivery for our clients
The person: The ideal candidate will bring:
* A proven track record in the accounting sector, ideally with bookkeeping experience
* Strong technical skills with accounting software platforms (Xero, Quickbooks, Sage50)
* Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities
* The ability to excel both independently and as a collaborative team member
Key Responsibilities
* Process and maintain accurate financial transactions and records
* Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and payment tracking
* Perform regular bank reconciliations and month-end closing procedures
* Generate and analyze financial reports and statements
* Support year-end processes and assist with audit preparations
* Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems
* Identify and implement process improvements
* Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, Quickbooks, Sage50)
* Advanced Excel skills
* Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities
* Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
* Experience with bank reconciliations and month-end processes
