Friday to Sunday – 6:00hrs to 18:00hrs (34.5hrs per week)
The Postholder’s duties will include supporting the Engineering and Production Teams with provision of a Digital X-Ray Service, supporting the transition of sampling to production activities, and assisting in product development and investigation of product concerns.
The successful applicant will hold an NVQ level 2 certificate or above in a relevant subject (or equivalent qualification), will have basic experience of NDT testing, and will possess a strong engineering background proven through either education or experience. Knowledge of health and safety legislation as it applies to the role is required, as well as successful completion of a RoSPA certified manual handling training course (or equivalent qualification), Health, Safety & Environmental awareness training, and crane slinger, bobcat, and/or overhead crane training (or other necessary training). Competence in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel & PowerPoint, along with good communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong analytical skills with high attention to detail are requisites for this role. Experience of NDT testing of metal castings is desirable, as is experience in the application and interpretation of customer specifications and requirements for a wide range of materials, components, and structures.
