We are a leading manufacturer of air handling units (AHUs) and ventilation systems, specialising in solutions for swimming pools, leisure centres, and commercial buildings for over 40 years.Our cutting-edge technology ensures high energy efficiency, air quality, and regulatory compliance.We are looking for a skilled AHU Engineer to join our dynamic team and support the installation, maintenance, and servicing of our swimming pool ventilation systems.
Job Purpose:
The AHU Engineer will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting of air handling units and dehumidification systems designed for swimming pools and other high-humidity environments.This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC systems, particularly in pool ventilation, and the ability to provide technical support to clients and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Repair and maintain AHUs and ventilation systems for swimming pools.
* Conduct diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical and electrical components.
* Ensure systems comply with industry standards, regulations, and manufacturer guidelines.
* Provide technical support and advice to clients, contractors, and internal teams.
* Perform routine and reactive maintenance to optimize system performance.
* Assist with system upgrades, modifications, and performance improvements.
* Work closely with the design and sales teams to ensure correct system specifications.
* Complete service reports and documentation in a timely manner.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety standards on-site.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Proven experience working with air handling units (AHUs) and ventilation systems, preferably in swimming pool environments.
* Strong knowledge of HVAC, dehumidification, and air distribution systems.
* Experience with electrical and mechanical fault-finding and repair.
* Knowledge of controls
* Understanding of industry regulations and best practices in ventilation and air quality control.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work with clients and contractors.
* Full UK driving license (if applicable for field-based roles).
Desirable Qualifications:
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
