Role: Therapeutic Residential Worker Salary: £23,151.50 - £28,000 per annum (depending on qualification) with £50 sleep-in allowance per sleep in. About the service We're very excited to be embarking on the creation of a brand-new residential children's home, Brumby House, based in Ryton, Tyne & Wear. Our 4-bed home will provide a safe and supportive environment for children aged 7-17 years old. It's not just a place to stay, it will be their home. The home is in a residential area with a variety of local amenities with great travel links from surrounding areas and free parking. We're looking to recruit a dedicated team of Therapeutic Residential Workers who'll ensure tailored, trauma-informed support is provided for each child. Let's talk about you Are you resilient and have a positive approach to change and challenge? We are looking for someone with a 'can do' attitude to join our team. Ideally you will have: Demonstrable experience of working in a care setting and developing positive relationships through trust Application of a range of techniques to co-ordinate and communicate with service users and their families Demonstrate a solution focused approach to address problems, individually and in a team setting Demonstrate emotional resilience to respond to the challenging nature of the role Possess a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or recognised equivalent) or if you do not possess this you must be prepared to complete this within 2 years of commencing employment with us, full support will be provided.
