(Practice Development Facilitator)
* Location: Worthing, West Sussex
* Hours: 17.5 hours per week – flexible to service delivery needs
* Salary: £25,015 per annum, pro-rata (£13.74 per hour)
About the Role:
Are you passionate about helping others reach their full potential? Join Guild Care as a Trainer (Practice Development Facilitator) within our Learning Disabilities services, and play a pivotal role in developing the skills and knowledge of our dedicated care team. In this role, you will lead the delivery of training and development initiatives to ensure our staff are well-prepared and confident in providing outstanding care and support.
* Create a supportive, fun, and inspiring learning environment that enables staff to thrive.
* Maintain your own care practice credibility by working alongside staff members, providing direct care and support.
* Plan and deliver induction training for new staff, ensuring they feel part of the team and are equipped to succeed.
* Support new staff to achieve the Care Certificate standards within their probationary period.
* Monitor and evaluate care practices through direct observation and feedback, identifying and addressing areas for improvement.
* Design and deliver a variety of training methods including classroom sessions, eLearning, and hands-on learning to meet the needs of all learners.
* Collaborate with managers to ensure that training meets regulatory requirements and reflects the values of our organisation.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced trainer who is committed to supporting others to deliver high-quality care. If you are a skilled facilitator with a passion for learning and development in the care sector, we would love to hear from you!
Essential Requirements:
* Proven experience in supporting adults and children with learning disabilities.
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the care sector and understanding of its regulatory framework.
* Recognised training qualification.
* In-depth knowledge of the Care Certificate standards.
* Excellent coaching and facilitation skills.
* Experience in inducting care staff.
Desirable Qualities:
* Experience in designing and delivering training within the care sector, including mandatory care training.
* Skilled in using Microsoft Office suite.
* Recognised assessor qualification.
* Qualified to deliver First Aid at Work and Manual Handling training.
* Car owner/driver to deliver training at various locations.
