Key Responsibilities:
Manager:
1. Direct line managing the Global Business Partner pillar of the People Team
2. liaising with TA, TD, Reward and People Operations leads to support the business on people and business strategy
3. Acting as the voice of the Business Partner’s to the People Team Senior Leadership Team
4. Setting team direction, goals and activities within the business partnering pillar
5. Working alongside key stakeholders to ensure that the people aspects of M&A activity are supported.
Business Partner:
The People Business Partner role translates business strategy into people strategy.
Working closely with your Exec/C-suite and other leaders within their functional area(s) to balance employee/business requirements whilst mitigating risk within this area. Supporting and leading in their functional area(s) on people planning, forecasting and organisational design. You will be representing both the people team and your exec/c-suite’s functional area(s) by building key relationships and providing two-way information, insights, advice, guidance, recommendations within your remit inc. dissemination of information from other people workstreams to the functional area and vice versa.
Additionally, you will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME)/escalation point on people/HR related law, policy, procedure and best practice within your region.
Duties include:
6. Partner with designated C-Suite/Exec to deliver KCS’s people strategies including handling change management & transformation, employee engagement and succession planning.
7. Collaborate with designated leadership team to understand the ongoing strategy and goals aligning them to the people strategy and practices accordingly.
8. Consult the designated leadership team on a regular basis on workforce planning particularly in growth products.
9. Act as a trusted advisor to your designated C-Suite/Exec and their leadership team providing HR support, coaching and direction on people issues.
10. Provide advice and guidance to designated leadership team to enhance employee retention, engagement and relationships.
11. Support the designated leadership team with the correct rollout and maintenance of initiatives such as 9 box grid and job architecture.
12. Understand and interpret people data to present to CPO and designated C-Suite/Exec to enable the business to make data driven decisions.
13. Partner with Talent Acquisition, Talent Development and People Operations to support the business growth and evolution.
14. Provide commercially astute HR advice with a consistent view of the revenue impact of decisions.
15. Ensure the business takes a fair, compliant and consistent approach towards employees and third parties.
16. Champion a vibrant and inclusive company culture that aligns with our core values and business objectives.
17. Be a point of escalation for the people team on complex people casework, challenges, questions, issues etc.
18. Where a People Relations Partner is not within region, they are on leave or need a point of escalation you will support the business and people senior leadership team with employee relations, engagement, policy and global mobility.
19. Any other duties commensurate with the role as outlined by the Chief People Officer.
Key Requirements:
20. Recognised HR qualification or equivalent experienced
21. Strong interpersonal and engagement skills.
22. Proven experience of working within a HR or HR related role.
23. Excellent written and verbal skills.
24. Strong business acumen.
25. Strong relationship management skills.
26. Strong up-to-date knowledge of employment law and best practice within your region.
27. Proven experience of managing and leading high-performance teams of skilled professionals.
28. Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, including competency in analysis.
29. A solid history of partnering with managers and business leaders to deliver HR solutions.
