Job Purpose
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is essential in driving growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities. Key responsibilities include lead generation, prospecting, client engagement, and nurturing relationships to expand the customer base.
Main Responsibilities
* Lead Generation: Identify and source new leads that contribute to revenue and quota targets.
* Prospecting: Use cold calls, emails, social media, and networking to engage potential clients.
* Client Engagement: Build strong relationships with prospects, tailoring solutions to their needs.
* Pipeline Management: Track leads and ensure timely follow-ups in the CRM system.
* Collaboration: Work with sales, marketing, and product teams to refine lead generation strategies.
* Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends to identify new opportunities and provide strategic insights.
* Reporting: Provide updates on lead generation activities and progress.
Person Specification
* Professional Rapport Building: Ability to build relationships with C-level executives.
* Communication Skills: Strong written, verbal, and organisational skills.
* Adaptability: Quick learner, comfortable with new processes and tools.
* Energetic & Positive Attitude: Enthusiastic, with a desire to learn and grow.
* Sales Passion: Genuine interest in sales and winning.
* Creativity & Resilience: Innovative thinker with strong persistence.
* Customer Focus: Dedicated to understanding and meeting client needs.
Knowledge/Experience
* Strong communicator, confident in cold calling (preferred).
* 1 year of relevant experience in Sales Development (preferred)
* Experience in high-contact customer-facing roles.
* CRM system experience is a plus but not essential.
