Hours: Minimum 2 days per month. Attending 5 Board meetings in person in Birmingham per year plus potential committee meetings.
We are seeking two experienced and passionate Non-Executive Directors to join our Board. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our strategic direction and enhance our governance.
Specialist skills desired: To achieve the appropriate balance of skills and experience on the Board, we are looking to find 2 x non-executives with some or all of the following specialist knowledge or experience: managing consumer vulnerability/debt/poverty; successful partnership working with similar clients; human resources.

Role Overview: As a Non-Executive Director, you will play a vital role in shaping the vision and strategic goals of our organisation. You will work closely with the Board to provide independent oversight, guidance, and expertise, ensuring we meet our mission effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the Board.
* Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

* Support and challenge the executive team in decision-making.
* Advocate for the organisation in the community and beyond.
* Contribute to Board meetings and committees, bringing a diverse perspective.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Previous experience in a Board-level role, preferably within the not-for-profit sector.
* Strong understanding of governance, financial oversight, and strategic planning.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively and think critically.
* Commitment to the mission and values of Auriga Services Commission.
* One of the specialist skillsets or experience outlined above.
