Torbay Hospital has an exciting opportunity to recruit a registered nurse with an interest in Ophthalmology to support our now open new, and existing dedicated eye theatres.
We are recruiting now to increase our existing team and are passionate to facilitate opportunities to support all staff in becoming fully trained, competent and confident for the role.
We are looking for an individual who has an interest in working with patients who have sight-related problems, who may or may not have experience in this field. Ophthalmology is a branch of medicine dealing with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases of the eye and visual system.

This role sits within the Eye Surgery Unit and consists of working within the preoperative assessment of ophthalmic surgical patients including Biometry and other preoperative diagnostics and working on our admission and discharge ward area looking after theatre patients pre and post operatively.
The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic, multidiscipline team working together to achieve the best outcome for our patients. This role presents the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others by providing care in their time of need.
