Occupational Health Advisor
£45,000 - £50,000 per annum

As an experienced Occupational Health and Wellbeing Nurse, your responsibilities will cover all aspects of occupational health, including case management, health surveillance, screening, and health promotion.
Core Responsibilities
1. Conduct case management over the phone or in person, producing high-quality management reports to guide employer actions.
2. Perform medical assessments for new hires, advising on candidates’ suitability and highlighting potential risks.
3. Deliver health surveillance, screening, promotion, vaccination, and phlebotomy procedures, ensuring compliance with operational protocols and relevant legislation.
4. Manage absence cases, providing support to managers and HR on long-term absentees and potential disability cases.
5. Maintain accurate records and databases in line with GDPR regulations for effective occupational health management.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about workplace health and wellbeing, skilled in navigating challenging conversations, and comfortable taking initiative. Success requires managing competing demands, adapting to change, and maintaining a confident, professional demeanor.
Qualifications and Skills
1. NMC qualification in adult nursing with current registration and revalidation.
2. Occupational Health certification (diploma or degree level).
Skills and Experience
1. Audiometry and spirometry training.
2. Up-to-date vaccinations and anaphylaxis training.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to new software.
4. Strong communication skills and minimum 5 years’ experience in occupational health.
