We are looking to recruit a Peripatetic Cook to join our Catering team in the Ceredigion area on a permanent basis. You will be expected to manage the school kitchen on a day-to-day basis according to the standards laid down by Ceredigion County Council.
The role includes:
1. General kitchen duties including washing up of equipment and utensils and the cleaning of all areas and surrounds.
2. Preparing and serving meals to residents and pupils.
3. Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen at all times.
4. Ensuring observance of Food Safety and Environmental Health standards.
On a day-to-day basis you will:
1. Undertake the preparation and serving of meals.
2. Perform general kitchen duties including washing up of equipment and utensils and the cleaning of all areas and surrounds.
3. Set up the tables and clear if required.
4. Record the temperature of food at the point of service.
5. Ensure observance of Food Safety and Environmental Health standards.
6. Ensure EEC standards on Manual Handling.
7. Maintain general Health and Safety of the kitchen including hazardous equipment.
