Position: Commissioning Engineer - Water
Location: Shropshire
Rate Guide: £450.00 - £500.00 Per Day (Outside IR35)
Our client is a Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating predominantly in the water industry, delivering a number of water and wastewater non-infrastructure projects for United Utilities.
They are recruiting for a Commissioning Engineer to support the delivery of a major water treatment project in Shropshire. You will report directly to the Commissioning Manager, and the responsibilities will include:
1. Carry out Commissioning Engineers R&R's and deliver schemes in a safe compliant manner.
2. Review and monitor MEICA related Project risks.
3. Attend commissioning systems inductions and toolbox talks.
4. Liaise with the Design team to ensure plant commissioning requirements are incorporated at the design stage and included in the appropriate scope of works.
5. Review design deliverables, including FDS, equipment and instrument lists, P&IDs, control philosophy, and telemetry requirements.
6. Review and develop Compliance & Commissioning Plans in conjunction with design intent.
7. Oversee and sign off FAT and SAT, and process witness tests.
8. Assist in the development of the initial Commissioning Programme.
9. Attend Progress & Commissioning Meetings.
10. Compile commissioning documentation and deliverables.
11. Provide input into Commissioning Strategy Reviews and Documentation.
12. Liaise with sub-contractors regarding commissioning deliverables and interfaces.
13. Assist Training Coordinators in the compilation of training deliverables and engage in SW Training sessions.
14. Assist O&M Coordinators in the compilation and review of O&M Manuals.
15. Distribute Commissioning Log / Daily Diaries and any other information from Engineers.
16. Assist in the preparation of takeover reports.
17. Liaise with the complete scheme delivery team.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
1. Proven electrical commissioning experience.
2. Extensive site experience of water and/or water recycling operations.
3. Practical knowledge of water and/or water recycling processes.
