Food Technology Teacher Required
Zen Educate is looking to take on a food technology teacher to work flexibly for a secondary school in Bristol. The school often has gaps within this subject, so for any teacher that is either a specialist or has a good level of experience in food, there is part-time work available to take on here.
As a teacher working with food, you will need to have a level 2 food hygiene certificate.
The school, located in the southern part of Bristol, is part of a wider academy trust and has made some positive changes to foster a respectful, open, and well-run environment. SLT is always on hand to help and is visible to students throughout the day to ensure that students move around smoothly and without incidents between lessons.
We are looking for a teacher who is great at keeping students engaged, safe while using cooking equipment, and strong with classroom management.
Requirements:
1. UK QTS, with ideally a specialism in food technology; however, this is not essential. We are happy to have a teacher who has covered the subject many times before and is confident in it.
2. Flexible to the needs of the school and happy to cover other subjects if and when needed.
3. Strong classroom management and able to follow school behaviour policies.
4. Can honour commitments and work taken, proving to be reliable, especially when the school could already be short-staffed.
5. Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or apply for one as part of your application.
Get in touch if you are interested in this teaching work and have a passion for teaching students in the art of cooking.
