The Wave are on the lookout for aspiring surf coaches to come and join us for the 2025 season We understand a barrier to achieving the required coaching qualifications can often be the cost and the location of course providers. We want to make this easier for aspiring Surf Coaches. We will therefore cover the cost of you training upfront, provide equipment and ensure you have guaranteed work for the season ahead. To learn more about this course, have a look at our video where current Wavemakers detail what it means to become a Wave Surf Coach with our in-house qualification https://www.thewave.com/work-with-us/working-at-the-wave/ If don't already hold an in-date, valid RLSS NVBLQ Lifeguard qualification, the first step of your Surf Coach training will be completing one of our Lifeguard Courses, running from 12th – 20th March (6-day course) and again on 21st – 30th March (6-day course). You will then work as a Lifeguard for a period of time before joining the first ISA course, running 1st & 2nd May 2025. What happens at the end of the contract? It may be possible for the participants to continue working for us as part of our casual bank of workers at the end of the fixed-term contract.
