Summary
NG Bailey have a brilliant opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team based in Yorkshire working on fantastic projects within the region. We have offices based in Leeds and Sheffield, with flexibility to work between these, the project sites and remotely.
In this role, you will be implementing best commercial practices to maintain and maximise the profitability and financial performance of the project. You will do this by minimising costs, managing cash-flow, mitigating risks, managing variations and claims, all to provide a smooth transition into agreement of our and our supply chain's final accounts.
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
1. Where relevant, manage and coach any Quantity Surveyors or Assistant Quantity Surveyors.
2. Review and interpret contract terms and conditions, identifying and mitigating risks and enhancing opportunities.
3. Ensure compliance with all aspects of the contract, liaise with the project teams on project status.
4. Identify, qualify and manage the agreement process of any changes to NG Bailey’s contractual obligations.
5. Take responsibility for the cash flow forecasting, submission and receipt of payments.
6. Monitor and forecast costs and revenue through the project lifecycle.
7. Assist with procurement and management of subcontractors.
8. Provide accurate reporting of costs, projections, contingency, liabilities, sales and margins.
9. Develop and maintain positive long-term relationships with all stakeholders, ensuring customer satisfaction.
10. Working alongside the project team and Commercial Manager, negotiate the settlement of the final account and facilitate sign-off.
11. Ensure all necessary records and reports are generated and maintained.
