As a Health Physics Monitor you will deliver a professional monitoring service to site as part of our day team.
You will report to the SST Supervisor and be located at Springfields Fuels Ltd.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide Health Physics monitoring to all site customers.
2. Calibrate/use all monitoring equipment to the required standard.
3. Utilise counting equipment to provide accurate results.
4. Ensure all supporting documents are completed.
5. Use a variety of monitoring instruments including Electra DP6 and DP2, SmartIon, FAG, Alpha and Beta Scintillation counters, Rad-Eye.
6. Maintain customer relations.
7. Prepare clearance paperwork for release to an auditable standard.
8. Support response to Emergency Incidents on-site.
9. Carry-out off-site environmental monitoring.
Qualifications:
1. NVQ 3 in Health Physics Monitoring (or equivalent).
2. Must be trained in the use of monitoring equipment.
3. Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
Desirable:
1. High level of self-motivation and an interest for learning new skills.
2. Ability to work flexible hours.
