We are looking for a manager with a proven track record of success in physical and online sales to help develop our retail business. This is a permanent role that encompasses shop sales across multiple sites, staff mentoring, and e-commerce development.
You will need to be a quick learner, be open-minded and enthusiastic when it comes to trialling new initiatives. You must be able to manage diverse teams across more than one location; leading, delegating, developing and inspiring those around you.
A valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle would be required.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Managing your current shop, maximising revenue and profits.
2. Managing and developing our new shops in our North Essex locations, as well as leading on all new e-commerce initiatives, assisting with any training in other locations.
3. Supporting the teams, identifying, mentoring and developing assistant managers and volunteers.
4. Identifying areas of growth and development, identifying patterns of performance and establishing KPI’s.
5. Developing sales through merchandising, pricing, events and analysis of performance.
6. Space planning shop floor area.
7. Helping to open new stores and establish a strong team within each, where required.
8. Setting an example to other shops on all e-commerce.
9. Coaching and advising other shops on e-commerce where required.
10. Being the first shop to trial new e-commerce initiatives (e.g., Amazon).
11. Assisting with implementation of best practice across e-commerce, including providing feedback to e-commerce manager.
12. Training, managing and mentoring new managers, Assistant Managers and volunteers.
13. Ensuring that Assistant Managers are deployed effectively to manage shops.
14. Mentoring and coaching Assistant Managers to contribute to the improvement of efficiency, sales & profit.
15. Recruiting new Assistant Managers and other shop staff, ensuring that the right candidates are selected.
16. Ensuring that the shop meets sales targets set in collaboration with the Area Manager.
17. Actively promoting Gift Aid, signing up donors and achieving performance targets across your shops.
18. Implementing marketing campaigns and sales promotions to increase sales.
19. Ensuring that the shop is competing effectively with local competitors.
