We are searching for a Test and Assembly Technician to join our Christchurch team!
In this role, you will test and investigate products returned by customers to identify failure causes and determine appropriate rework or repair schemes. Also, support production activities by investigating and reworking end-of-line test failures.

Your Challenge:
* Use the departmental IT systems to book in and record customer returns and their associated documentation.
* Test and investigate products returned by customers to identify failure causes and determine appropriate rework or repair schemes.
* Determine the root causes of failures and identify improvement opportunities where appropriate.
* Record investigation findings in a manner suitable for direct customer response including the use of 8D format reports.
* Perform repair or rework in accordance with company workmanship guidelines.
* Communicate directly with customers regarding returns and products to provide status updates and technical details.
* Comply with health, safety and environmental requirements applicable to work being undertaken.
* Support production activities by investigating and reworking end-of-line test failures.
* Support department activities such as 6S, stock management and general housekeeping.
What You Bring:
* BTEC Nation Diploma level 3
* Computer literate
* Able to read schematic diagrams and mechanical drawings
* Working knowledge of electronic fault finding and repair techniques, including surface mount components
* Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
* Able to work under pressure, produce quality work with attention to detail
