Job Description:
RAC is seeking Field Based Vehicle Technicians to join our Service, Maintenance, and Repair Division.
You will perform vehicle servicing, maintenance, and light repairs across a defined geographical area. As a qualified motor industry professional, you will examine vehicles, components, and trade premises, produce condition reports, and provide technical feedback.
At RAC, we value our colleagues' dedication. We offer a competitive base salary of £29,700 (plus a £4,320 London Weighting allowance if applicable), with an average OTE ranging from £38,500 to £42,500. Additional benefits include:

Work pattern: Monday to Saturday, 8am to 8pm, 35 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct vehicle inspections and premises audits to assess performance standards.
* Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, providing expert advice and recommendations.
* Complete technical condition reports in writing and electronically.
* Ensure reports and processes are completed according to procedures.
* Adhere to ISO 9001:2000 quality system procedures.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry schemes, products, and procedures.
Requirements:
* Sound mechanical and bodywork knowledge of vehicle construction and repair.
* Relevant motor trade experience, including customer-facing duties.
* Good communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications:
* Recognized motor industry qualifications (City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent).
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in motor mechanics.
* Understanding of vehicle diagnostics; Electric/Hybrid vehicle knowledge is a plus.
