As a key member of the senior management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Great Northern Market concept at Manchester Airport. This includes managing a team of approx. 120 with six kitchens and two bars, offering a diverse range of cuisines such as fried chicken, burgers, Mexican, pizza, Thai, an all-day grill, and a breakfast menu. The venue has approximately 470 covers and operates from 3am to 10pm. Role: As an Operations Manager, you will lead the overall performance of our restaurants and focus on delighting customers through the delivery of exceptional food and outstanding customer service by a fully engaged, highly trained, and motivated team. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing all daily restaurant operations, ensuring health and safety standards are met, and continuously improving customer satisfaction. Main Duties: Manage and oversee all daily restaurant operations at multi-site locations. Direct and guide the management team to successfully execute operations. Ensure all site health, safety, and food safety protocols are maintained, including up-to-date documentation Continuously review and improve processes to enhance customer satisfaction. Maximise the financial performance of the business. Ensure consistent high-quality customer service for all guests. Deliver excellence through the performance of others. Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of guests and colleagues at all times. Maintain confidentiality and act in accordance with data protection requirements when handling personal data of customers, suppliers, and colleagues. Requirements: We are looking for an experienced individual with a proven track record of managing multiple sites. You will be flexible across shift patterns and have a passion to deliver a first-class customer experience through the performance of your team. Qualifications & Relevant Experience: Leadership & Management. Significant senior-level hospitality experience with substantial leadership responsibility. Proven management experience in a food & beverage environment, including staff rostering, training, and development. Familiarity with an airport-based hospitality setting (desirable) Proven ability to address potential health and safety/food preparation concerns in a restaurant environment. A track record of achievement in customer satisfaction, sales, and service. Proven ambassador in delivering brand values. Implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Highly organised, able to manage conflicting priorities while maintaining service levels. Skilled in handling customer complaints to satisfactory resolutions. Strong communicator, capable of connecting with both customers and staff. Financially aware, with sound budget control skills and effective stock management. Capable of driving staff engagement and performance. Knowledgeable in health & safety requirements specific to food and beverage environments, including food hygiene, COSHH, and food allergens.
