Join Dementia UK as a Campaigns and Engagement Officer and play a key role in driving our ambitious political influencing strategy to transform dementia care across the UK. You will contribute to Dementia UK's wider ambitions and strategy, which strongly emphasise our influencing goals.
Your primary focus will be to support the Campaigns and Engagement Manager and the wider team in developing, delivering and evaluating impactful campaigns that create lasting improvements to dementia care for people living with dementia, their families and carers. You will manage day-to-day engagement with new and existing Dementia UK campaigners, including our Campaigns Network, acting as the first point of contact for the campaign inbox.
Working closely with Marketing and Communications teams, you will help grow and deepen campaigner engagement by creating compelling communications online and offline across our website, social media, email and in print. Alongside this, you will produce campaigning actions and resources that empower campaigners, including people with lived experience of dementia, to be central to securing improvements to dementia care.
To succeed in this role, you will have experience in developing, delivering and evaluating influencing campaigns that incorporate both online and offline elements. You will be a strong communicator with a proven ability to build and manage successful relationships with supporters and other stakeholders. Additionally, you should also be highly organised, with the proven ability to prioritise workload and meet tight, competing deadlines in a fast-changing environment. You will understand the importance of authentically involving people with lived experience in campaigning.
Join us today and be part of a team committed to making a real difference in the lives of those affected by dementia.
