A day in the life of a Murphy People Business Advisor Provide clear and timely advice to managers and employees on Employee Relations cases and a wide array of general People matters. Assist with the planning, design and evaluation of ER related initiatives that support the immediate and future organisational strategic goals and being flexible enough to cope with changes in the organisation as and when they occur. Participate in specialist projects (e.g. employee engagement, salary review, resource planning, talent review etc.), ensuring project progress and completion are in line with set deadlines. Attend meetings as required to support People activity within your business areas. Provide Line Managers with expert ER advice and guidance, ensuring the advice and support given is proactive, accurate and timely. Ensure that ER advice to Line Managers is in-line with Company values, policies and procedures, HR best practice plus prevailing legislative and regulatory requirements in order to minimise the risk to the Company. Establish the upfront facts of the potential case and coach Line Manager on next steps and address ER issues at any early stage to mitigate tribunal claims. Provide Line Managers with clear reasons behind advice and recommended actions. Advise and provide guidance on grievance, capability and disciplinary cases. Offer support as necessary for investigations and appeals. (Support with formal hearings where required) Liaising with SHES to ensure effective Occupational Health case management so that long term and intermittent absence cases are managed proactively. Proactive in managing sick absence levels, return to work programmes where applicable. Still interested, does this sound like you? CIPD Level 5 qualified or qualified by experience Generalist HR experience is desirable Willingness to travel, full driving license is essential. Proven track record of providing expert ER advice and ER case management. First-hand exposure of HR in a commercially oriented business Established experience of coaching and developing managers and senior staff members. Experience of leading Employee Relations cases, including large scale projects such as TUPE, Acquisitions, Restructuring & Redundancy.
