Our client is a fast-paced, growing Commodities business in London.
We are looking for a HR Associate/Assistant, to work initially on a part-time basis, 3 days/24 hours per week before working towards working full-time hours in the future.
The focus is on providing support to the Senior HR Manager for Europe, to carry out the daily operations and strategic goals of the HR department. They have colleagues in more than 7 countries in EMEA. In this role, you will be able to gain an understanding of the processes and formalities in all the jurisdictions that are supported, whilst adding value to how the function is run.

This role is part time office based 3days / 24 hours per week. Working hours can be flexible.
DUTIES:
1. Onboarding: Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires with IT ensuring a smooth and welcoming introduction to the company.
2. Sending onboarding materials, conducting, and managing global background checks and email announcements.
3. Process new hires, including country-specific documentation, uploading Personnel files, systems set-up, and coordination of introductory reviews.
4. Gain experience on the HR system, ensuring that all employee information is added promptly and accurately.
5. Provide HR support by answering team members’ questions related to holidays, sick leave, TOIL and responding to requests, escalating when necessary.
6. Enroll new joiners in company benefits programs, including health insurance, travel insurance and other company-provided benefits.
7. Off boarding: Manage the off-boarding process for departing employees. Responsibilities include revoking access to company systems, coordination of collecting the IT equipment and processing final paperwork.
8. HR Audits: Conduct regular audits of employment files and systems to ensure they are up-to-date, accurate, and GDPR compliant.
9. HR Projects: Actively participate in various HR projects and assist the Senior HR Manager in the Summer Internship programme.
10. Any other related HR administration work as and when required.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
11. A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
12. 2-4 years of experience in a HR or People Operations role.
13. Good IT skills, including MS Word and Excel, and an ability to learn new platforms.
14. Familiarity with Workday or similar HRIS system.
15. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to handle sensitive matters confidentially.
16. Ability to work under own initiative.
17. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with an ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
